The School Emblem:-
In Sanskrit :-
Uttisthata Jagrata Prapya Barannibodhata Kshurasanna Dhara Nishita Dustayadurgama Pathah tat kabaya basanti.
In English : –
“Arise! Awake! Approach the great and learn.
Like the sharp edge of a razor is that path,
So the wise say – hard to tread and difficult to cross.”
It is a sloka of Katha Upanishad which was popularized in the late 19th Century by Hindu monk Swami Vivekananda.
It was his massage to the Hindus to get out of their hypnotized state of mind.
Swami Vivekananda used the sloka so widely in his teaching that sometimes Swami Vivekananda is mistakenly identified as the author of the sloka.
